Transferring Files to Alpine (Globus)
How to transfer files to Alpine when:¶
- The files are too large
- There are too many files
- The files keep failing to transfer
- You dont have enough space on your local computer to store the data in order to transfer it to Alpine
Today we will teach you how to use Global Protect, Globus, and linking Globus to your computer or OneDrive, and then linking Globus to Alpine
Step 1: Make sure you have Global Protect installed on your computer so that you can use the CSU network to log into Alpine and Globus.¶

Step 2: Install Globus Connect Personal & set up the local endpoint (i.e. your computer) & connection to Alpine¶

Step 3: Link Globus to external storage systems like R stor, DropBox, or OneDriv¶

Step 4: transfer your data!¶
